In the midst of a wild and borderline frantic end to the offseason, the Boston Red Sox seem to be nearing a conclusion to their managerial search.

The team is expected to replace Alex Cora from within and select between the likes of Carlos Febles and Ron Roenicke.

Febles has served as the third base coach for the Red Sox the past two seasons, and has been with the organization since 2007. He's served as a hitting coach and manager across multiple levels of Boston's minor league system.

Roenicke, however, stands out as a bit of a more obvious choice to take over as the skipper.

He came to the team prior to 2018 to serve as the bench coach under Cora, and he's certainly not lacking in managerial experience. Roenicke was the skipper of the Milwaukee Brewers from 2011 to 2015, amassing a 342-331 record while capturing a division title and NLCS appearance in his first year in the role.

Regardless of who the Red Sox opt for, though, they will bring at least a little bit of direction to this rudderless ship heading into the 2020 campaign.
