Red Sox Promote Brian O'Halloran to General Manager Under Chaim Bloom
By Parker White

The Boston Red Sox made an excellent front office move last week, hiring former Tampa Bay Rays executive Chaim Bloom to be their Chief Baseball Officer.
However, they still needed to make a hire for the team's GM opening. Well, that decision has been made, as the organization has promoted Red Sox executive Brian O'Halloran.

O'Halloran, 47, has been with the Red Sox since 2002 as an assistant in their baseball operations department. He worked his way through the ranks in Boston and was named executive vice president last November.

Bloom: "I always respected how he handled himself. He is smart, thorough, calm and capable. … I’m excited for our partnership."
For the Red Sox, changes certainly needed to be made after the team had one of the worst hangovers possible following winning the 2018 World Series. After missing the postseason this year, the team simply won't allow this terrible feeling to be repeated.
It'll be up to the front office to make some moves and get the Red Sox back to where they belong come October. Time to see what O'Halloran and others have in mind.
