He joins Mark Kotsay as one of the reported out-of-house candidates the Red Sox seem to be keeping tabs on.
The 39-year-old Urueta has served under former Red Sox bench coach Torey Lovullo for two years out in the desert. Urueta has been a member of the Diamondbacks organization for the past 18 years, coaching in some capacity since 2007.

He's no stranger to managing on a big stage either. The Colombian native actually served as the manager of Colombia during the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
He might not stand out as the flashiest hire to replace Cora, but he certainly brings a vast array of experience to the table. We'll have to wait and see if he gets his first shot at managing a major league club.
