Red Sox Triple-A Affiliate's Rebrand is Rightfully Getting Ripped Apart
By Michael Luciano

The Pawtucket Red Sox, Boston's Triple-A affiliate, will be moving to Worcester, Mass. after the 2020 season, and a full rebrand was a necessity. At least, that's what we all said before we saw what the marketing department did to their logos. Now, we're wishing they just stuck with the old logos.
Rather than stick with their odd, but still solid polar bear logo, the team will use a generic anthropomorphic yellow ball with a smiley face swinging a bat, replacing the "PawSox" nickname with "WooSox".
Smile! The Pawsox are now the Worcester WooSox and have unveiled their new logos ?

Pac-Man? The Comedian's button from Watchmen? The "thank you, have a nice day" bags you get at the grocery store? There are so many things this logo looks like, and none of them make sense for a baseball team. The "WooSox" name is a similar crime against baseball.
The one saving grace is the fact that the uniforms, modeled after Boston's home threads in which Pac-Man is conspicuously absent, look pretty sharp.
Woo-hoo!

Hope you like literally the most generic, least creative logo imaginable, fans in Worcester. We're already looking forward to the eventual rebrand in 2026.
