Boston Red Sox fans were devastated when the Sox didn't re-sign fan-favorite infielder Brock Holt, and he was instead picked up by the Milwaukee Brewers. He left such an impact on the Red Sox that on Friday, the Sox' Triple-A affiliate, the Pawtucket Red Sox, released a tribute to Holt on their Twitter.

Still hurting! Dang.
Love for Holt quickly rose following his debut with the Red Sox in 2013. Fans loved him not only for his gritty style of play, but also for his interactions with teammates and fans, his involvement in the community, and his eagerness to play the game of baseball.

The sun might as well just not shine tomorrow. Or ever again.
Holt had a great impact on the field, as he was a key part in the team's 2018 World Series run. You might remember in Game 3 of the ALDS against the New York Yankees, when Holt became the first player in MLB history to hit for the cycle in the postseason.

Boston fans have a deep love for Holt, and seeing him sign with the Brewers for a measly one-year, $3.25 million deal with an option for 2021 was a punch in the gut. Red Sox fans will miss Holt dearly, at every level.
