The Houston Astros are going for the sweep of the Boston Red Sox on Sunday after close wins over the fellow American League contenders at home on Friday and Saturday.

The game gets underway at 2:20 PM ET from Minute Maid Park and can be seen on NESN and AT&T Sports Houston. Live streams will also be available on Reddit's MLB streams subreddit.

Chris Sale gave up four earned runs on Friday as the Astros raced to a 4-0 lead, and held off the Sox late for a 4-3 win. David Price tried to start Saturday's game for Boston, but couldn't last through the first inning (flu-like symptoms). The Red Sox tied the game at 3-3 in the ninth inning via a two-run single from Christian Vasquez, but lost on a walk-off single by Carlos Correa in the bottom half.

Red Sox Lineup

Eduardo Rodriguez takes the mound for Boston looking to improve his ERA of 5.43 and 1.46 WHIP. Rodriguez lost his last start, a May 21 appearance at Toronto when he allowed six hits and six earned runs through just five innings. Before that outing, however, the Red Sox had won seven straight with him on the bump.

Mitch Moreland and Xander Bogaerts get the day off for Boston on Sunday, being replaced by Steve Pearce at first base and Eduardo Nunez at shortstop.

Astros Lineup

If the Sox are going to avoid the sweep, they will have to beat Justin Verlander, who hasn't lost a start or even earned as much as a no-decision in nearly a month. On May 21, he pitched eight innings against the White Sox, striking out 12 batters while walking just one and allowing nothing but a single hit and earned run. His ERA stands at 2.24 and WHIP at 0.73, with both figures leading the American League and the latter tops on all of MLB.

The Red Sox avoided the sweep a week ago with a 4-3 win against the Astros on May 19, after dropping the first two games at Fenway Park, and will look for the same result Sunday. Boston has a single home series beginning Monday against the Cleveland Indians, before embarking on another seven-game road trip next weekend against the Yankees. Houston meanwhile stays home this week for an intriguing inter-league series against the Chicago Cubs.
