The Boston Red Sox (23-20) will face off against the Houston Astros (29-15) on Friday in the first game of a three-game series in a matchup of the last two World Series champions.

How to Live Stream the Game

The matchup will be televised regionally on NESN and AT&T SportsNet Houston, as well as nationally on MLB Network, at 7:10 p.m. ET. Further streams can be found on MLB.TV and the MLB Streams subreddit.

The Red Sox enter this game coming off a 6-5 victory against the Colorado Rockies, with rookie phenom Michael Chavis hitting a walk-off RBI single in the 10th inning.

Pitcher Rick Porcello (3-3) will get the start and look to rebound from his last outing, during which he allowed four runs through six and two-thirds innings pitched. All of the damage came in the first inning, and the only batter to reach base after that did so on an error. Porcello's ERA, as a result, went up to a 5.15 ERA, so he'll look to limit his early mistakes in an effort to lower that inflated number.

Red Sox Lineup

The Red Sox will deploy Andrew Benintendi at the leadoff spot, with Mookie Betts and J.D. Martinez rounding out an incredibly dangerous top-third of the lineup.

Despite going against a tough Astros squad, Porcello will have plenty of help for this one.

Astros Lineup

The Astros enter this contest on an eight-game win streak, and have won nine of their last 10, including series wins against the Kansas City Royals, Texas Rangers, and Detroit Tigers.

The Stros' recent tear has been fueled by the long ball, as they've hit 30 homers in their last 10 games. They have scored the second-most runs in baseball so far with 245, with an absurd average of 5.6 runs per game.

Pitcher Gerrit Cole (4-4) will get the start Friday night, and look to continue his sheer dominance, as he had 12 strikeouts through six innings against the Texas Rangers in his last go-round. Cole currently leads the league in strikeouts with 86, and has shown no signs of slowing down.

The Astros would love to continue their current winning streak, and a game against the Red Sox at Fenway Park will provide a tough test for the team with the best record in baseball.
