The Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians continue their fight for a playoff spot in the first of a three game series in Cleveland.
How to Live Stream the Game
First pitch from Progressive Field is at 7:10 p.m. ET. The game will air on NESN and SportsTime Ohio, but can also be streamed using via fuboTV (free trial!) as well as the MLB Streams subreddit.
Red Sox Lineup
Former MVP Mookie Betts will play right field and leadoff after getting the day off on Sunday. He's looking to pick up where he left off, having recorded back-to-back multi-hit games prior to his rest day. He's followed by Rafael Devers and Xander Bogaerts. The powerful bat of J.D. Martinez bats clean up and is the designated hitter.
Lefty Eduardo Rodriguez pitches for the Red Sox tonight. He is 13-5 with a 4.17 ERA and 140 strikeouts in this season.
Indians Lineup
Francisco Lindor will lead things off for the Tribe on Monday, looking to build off his .300 batting average. He's working on a five-game hitting streak. Oscar Mercado will hit next, followed by Carlos Santana and Franmil Reyes. Yasiel Puig will be missing in action this series as he's serving his three-game suspension for his involvement in the infamous Reds-Pirates brawl.
Rookie Zach Plesac is the pitcher for the Indians and is 6-3. He has impressed with a 3.13 ERA despite only striking out 54 hitters in 72 innings.
The Indians took two out of three from the Red Sox earlier this year. They have taken eight of their last ten games including three out of four from the Minnesota Twins.
