The Boston Red Sox (40-35) and Minnesota Twins (48-24) will conclude their three-game series Wednesday night at Target Field. Both teams will be looking to take the series as Minnesota rallied for an incredible walk-off victory in 17 innings, as Max Kepler delivered the game winning RBI single.
How to Live Stream the Game
First pitch is slated for 8:10pm ET. The game will be broadcast on FSNO and NESN, live streaming will be available on the MLB streams subreddit.
Red Sox Lineup
Lefty Eduardo Rodríguez is on the hill for the Sox. He's logged 14 starts to the tune of a 7-4 record on the season, despite a shaky 4.67 ERA. E-Rod has fanned 84 hitters in 79 innings.
Boston's offense has surprisingly been quiet so far in the series, and they received no favors last night from some of the big time sluggers in the lineup. Martinez was 0-for-8 with a platinum sombrero during the 17-inning marathon. Betts continued his slump going just 1-for-6, however that one hit was a go-ahead home run in the top of the 13th inning.
Twins Lineup
Kepler, Tuesday's hero, is leading off for the Twins, followed by C.J. Cron, Nelson Cruz and Eddie Rosario. Miguel Sanó hits fifth, with Luis Arráez drawing the start at shortstop. Jake Cave will be in center field, with La Tortuga batting eighth and playing second base. Jason Castro will bat ninth and start behind the plate, with Mitch Garver getting the day off.
Toeing the rubber Wednesday night is RHP Kyle Gibson, looking to improve on his 7-3 record. He's started 13 games, recording a 3.70 ERA with 77 strikeouts across 75.1 innings pitched.
Much like Boston's offense, the Twins have surprisingly been relatively unproductive so far in the series. Minnesota's offense leads the league in both runs scored and homers, yet they could not even muster a single run in the first game of the series against Porcello and company.
