Eduardo Rodriguez (13-4, 4.13 ERA) will take the mound in hopes of continuing his great pitching from the last month-plus. In his last six starts, the lefty has pitched to a 2.23 ERA.

Yankees Lineup

Aaron Judge has not been flexing much of his trademark muscle of late, batting just .129 with no home runs or RBI in his last seven games. Edwin Encarnacion, on the other hand, has gotten hot, batting .345 with a homer over that same time span. DJ LeMahieu is back in the leadoff spot after missing the past week of action.

The Yankees will send veteran southpaw James Paxton to the hill Friday. The 30-year-old is having the worst season of his career in his first as a Yankee, but it's not too late for him to turn it around. He'll look to improve on his 4.72 ERA.

This series will present the Red Sox with a chance at a last-gasp effort to get back into the division race; we'll see if they can take advantage.
