Reds Prospect Tyler Stephenson Shares Amazing Mother's Day Cleats He Would've Worn on Sunday
By Adam Weinrib

Major League Baseball, as a whole, generally goes above and beyond for Mother's Day, with pink bats and accented jerseys becoming involved in plenty of iconic moments over the past decade.
It's also one of those very special days where the league allows its players to show off their individual style with some loud fashion choices to honor their No. 1 fans.
Former Reds first-rounder Tyler Stephenson won't be on the diamond this year, of course, but he used the day as an opportunity to celebrate his mom properly anyway with some hand-written cleats.
Unfortunately, I can’t wear these on the field today, but I still want to share with you my message. @NB_Baseball #MothersDay #WeGotNow pic.twitter.com/B9khXEhWJi

These sneaks are basically a "thank you" note to the woman who made Stephenson's dreams possible, and it seems he got to share the day with the matriarch herself, a rare circumstance these days.
Stephenson and his mom share an unbreakable bond, which is evident even after a cursory glance at his social media accounts.
Who would have guessed that 16 years ago I would be wearing the jersey of the team that drafted me. All of the sacrifices you had to do for me to live out my dream and all the places we had to travel. I couldn’t have done it without you❤️ Happy Mother’s Day ? pic.twitter.com/AHNMDwkeyt

Now just a few steps away from the majors, Stephenson is close to validating that hard work even further. Hopefully, next year's Mother's Day looks a lot different for the slugging catcher.
