The Cincinnati Reds mean business in 2020, evidenced by their spending spree during the offseason thus far.

Following Monday's acquisition of free agent outfielder Nicholas Castellanos, the Reds' winter haul officially consists of Mike Moustakas, Wade Miley, Castellanos and Shogo Akiyama.

Their latest acquisition does create some questions, however, particularly in regards to Nick Senzel's future in Cincinnati.

As Jon Heyman reports, the Reds are considering trading the 24-year-old, who was just recently ranked among the game's top prospects.

With Castellanos, Akiyama and budding star Aristides Aquino seemingly set to man the outfield, and Eugenio Suarez and Mike Moustakas locked in at third and second base, respectively, it seems there may not be a place for Senzel among the Reds' ranks.

Thus, the team may end up pursuing a trade, for which there would likely be a handful of suitors with interest in a player with as much potential as Senzel.

In 2019, Senzel featured in 104 games in the bigs, slashing .256/.315/.445 with 12 homers, 42 RBI and 14 stolen bases. He's a versatile defender as well, having climbed through the minors primarily as a third baseman before transitioning to center field.
