Reds Signing Nicholas Castellanos Could Increase Likelihood of Francisco Lindor Trade
By Evan Wolff

Much to the frustration of Cleveland Indians fans, Francisco Lindor has been a topic of trade discussion for what seems like a lifetime. Combining Lindor's obvious need to play for a contender and Cleveland's reluctance to lock him up long-term, the talented shortstop will most likely be suiting up for a new team eventually.
A surprise entrant in the Lindor sweepstakes may be the Cincinnati Reds after their recent acquisition of Nicholas Castellanos, who was a second-half breakout star with the Chicago Cubs in 2019. With their recent moves positioning themselves as a contender in the NL Central, a final push for Lindor could secure their status as a serious team to look out for in 2020.
Don't be surprised if @Reds keep pedal to the metal and pull off Francisco Lindor trade now. They can send @Indians a solid SS in Freddy Galvis along with Nick Senzel and a top prospect or two, like 3B Jonathan India, OF Jose Siri or SS Blake Trahan.

If you are the Indians, why wouldn't you get this done the second it hits the desk of GM Mike Chernoff? Freddy Galvis is an established MLB player and Nick Senzel was the No. 5 prospect in baseball before his promotion to the majors in May. So two MLB-ready players, plus prospects? Seems like a no-brainer.
Cincinatti Reds have an outfield surplus after signing Nick Castellanos for 4/$64M today.

Widespread speculation is that they're willing to trade Nick Senzel.
Possible centerpiece for Francisco Lindor?
The Reds seem ready to move at a moments notice, and the Indians have a sense of urgency as it pertains to Lindor. This would change the landscape of the NL Central for years to come.
