The Reds enter this game coming off a commanding 7-1 victory over the Brewers in the first game of the series. Pitcher Sonny Gray (3-5) will get the start and build upon his last outing, where he allowed three runs on five hits with eight strikeouts in just five innings. Gray is enjoying a solid first half, posting a 3.77 ERA with 79 strikeouts in 71.2 innings pitched.

It's worth noting here that Jesse Winker, who's hitting .450 with seven runs batted in through his past seven games, is out Friday night.

Christian Yelich will most certainly be a player to keep an eye on. The reigning MVP has been on a tear in his last 15 games, slashing .459/.500/.852 with six homers and 10 runs batted in.
These Christian Yelich stats are incredible. Entering today over his last 162 games, the @Brewers star has...

⚾️ A .340 average
⚾️ 55 homers
⚾️ 141 RBIs
⚾️ 31 SBs
⚾️ A batting title

Despite Yelich's dominance at the plate, the Brewers are a middle of the pack team in both runs scored and batting average. Pitcher Chase Anderson (3-1) will get the start Friday night and look to rebound from his last outing, where he allowed three runs on five hits and four walks in just four innings. Anderson has been better in the rotation as opposed to in the bullpen, as he has a 3.93 ERA in the rotation, and a 4.50 out of it.
Given how the Brewers have struggled recently, Anderson may have to rely heavily on Yelich in this one.
