VIDEO: Fans Gathered Outside Chase Young's House to Welcome Him to Redskins With Social Distancing Party
By Jerry Trotta
Despite there being rumors that the Washington Redskins were fielding calls on the No. 2 overall pick, the team made the right move in the end by selecting Ohio State defensive end Chase Young. The former Buckeye projects to be a stud from the get-go, and the pick clearly sat well with Redskins fans on Thursday night. In fact, some even gathered outside of Young's house to welcome him to the franchise with a little party.
That's amazing and the clip perfectly encapsulates everything great about sports. Even amid a pandemic, professional athletes are able to bring a smile to fans' faces.
We'll go out on a limb and say that Young will fit in just fine in DC. With him he'll bring the 26.5 sacks, 35.5 tackles for loss and eight forced fumbles he registered across his last two seasons with Ohio State.
If fans are already throwing parties for Young, we can only imagine the pandemonium that will ensue once he becomes a household name in the NFL.
