Redskins Reportedly Now Open to Trading Trent Williams After Months of Annoying Confusion
By Sam Dunn

First, the Washington Redskins claimed they weren't going to trade left tackle Trent Williams despite a holdout allegedly due to concerns about their medical staff. Then, they were reported to have garnered some interest, including from the New England Patriots and Cleveland Browns, only to deny that anything of the sort had occurred.
Now, per insider Ian Rapoport, Williams actually is on the block ahead of Tuesday's NFL trade deadline.
Sources: The #Redskins are now open to dealing star LT Trent Williams. They have begun the process of looking at potential suitors, and the #Browns have been one. Unclear how high they set the asking price, but they’ll at least listen.

Sounds like he has been all along, folks. Sheesh.
The Skins are going nowhere fast this season -- surprise! -- and have already cut ties with erstwhile head coach Jay Gruden. It's only right to try to earn some value in exchange for the big lineman, who becomes a free agent in 2021, but grumbled about desires for a new contract earlier this year.
Skins been trying to leverage the Browns every which way on Trent Williams.

First it was "we dont want to move him til the offseason" (up your offer)
Now it's publicly opening the market to competition. (Up your damn offer)
Washington clearly hasn't seen an offer as of yet that they'd get out of bed for, but at risk of increased disgruntlement in the months to come, they're best off cutting ties with Williams once and for all.
Then again, this is a Dan Snyder team. There's always a lower low.
