Refs in Michigan-Indiana Actually Had to Review Play of Giles Jackson Completely Lying on the Ground
By Mark Powell

As if the odds weren't already stacked against Indiana in their contest against No. 13 Michigan on Saturday afternoon in Bloomington, the refs tried to make it even more of a disadvantage.
Just seconds after Indiana went up 14-7 in the first half of their upset bid, Michigan's Giles Jackson broke a kick return that was, somehow, called a touchdown on the field. Jackson very clearly was down -- his body was completely horizontal on the ground -- and upon review the play was brought back. Nonetheless, the replay was not kind to the officials, who really should've gotten this right on the first try.

Nothing to see here, just more theatrics from college-level referees who've become far too reliant on the replay system as a whole.
Did they eventually get this right? Yes. Did we have to sit through five minutes of commercials and announcer analysis to get there? No! Not at all!

We are with you, Indiana fans. There was nothing to see here, but instead the officials nearly gave IU coach Tom Allen a heart attack on the sideline.
Be better, for all of our sakes.
