VIDEO: Reggie Bush Heaps Huge Praise on Alabama’s Najee Harris With Impressive NFL Player Comp
By Tyler Kemp
Najee Harris of Alabama is projected to be one of the best running backs in the world of college football, and could come off the board early in the 2021 NFL Draft. He will be following in the footsteps of some of the best to ever play for the Crimson Tide, and in his analysis of Harris, former USC star and Super Bowl champion Reggie Bush compared Harris to an NFL running back that was also highly touted coming out of ‘Bama.
“A more athletic Derrick Henry” is scary just to think about.
Henry is a 250-pound back for the Titans who runs downhill that safeties and linebackers are afraid to tackle. While players in the back seven of college defenses are also afraid to tackle Harris, getting a hand on him is what truly makes him great at the college level and makes the Henry comparison justified.
Here is a glimpse of what to expect from Harris in his senior season with the Tide.
Bush knows a great college running back when he sees one, because game recognizes game. From the Heisman winner's mouth to the SEC defensive coordinators’ ears, Harris will be a lot to handle on Saturdays in Tuscaloosa this season.
