Reggie Jackson played some of his best baseball with the New York Yankees and was inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1993 as a member of the Bombers.

The latest Yankees legend selected for enshrinement is Derek Jeter, who nearly made it as a unanimous selection. Jeter is joined by Larry Walker as the two members of the 2020 class and Jackson had some praise for the former Yankees shortstop and newest member of the Hall of Fame.

Those who love the Yankees and Jeter will love everything Jackson had to say about the shortstop playing for the name on the front of the jersey.

He played in the biggest market there is and followed in Jackson's footsteps by showing up in October and making the most of big moments.

Jackson only spent five years with the Yankees, but he is an iconic member of that franchise's history and his words carry weight. His praise of Jeter means the former shortstop is revered as one of the greatest to ever wear a Yankees uniform not just by voters, but by his peers.
