Reports Suggest Yankees Will Be Frontrunners to Land Any Starter if Clint Frazier is Made Available
By Parker White

The New York Yankees are certainly one of the best teams in baseball, and are a solid pick for World Series contention given how well they've played despite so many key injuries. However, they certainly need to upgrade their starting rotation, whether that be with free agent Dallas Keuchel or another option via trade.
If the Yankees go the trade route, you can crown them as frontrunners for any available starter if young outfielder Clint Frazier is made available, notes Andy Martino of SNY.
As @adamgfisher noted on BNNY last night, if Yankees decide to make Frazier available, they'll immediately be the frontrunner for any trade deadline starting pitcher.

From a pure offensive standpoint, this makes a lot of sense. In 43 games, "Red Thunder" is slashing .275/.327/.529 with 11 home runs and 30 RBI. You can place him in the middle of almost any lineup and get big time production.
However, his defensive mistakes can't be undersold.

For all his hitting prowess, he has the ability to cost the Yankees victories due to his ineptitude on defense. That isn't going to be lost on a number of teams looking to trade a starter. But for now, he should be considered an attractive asset-- especially if his glove work can show some improvement in due time.
