VIDEO: Rich Eisen Cannot Stop Mixing up Deshaun Watson and Jameis Winston During Texans-Bucs Game
By Jerry Trotta
It goes without saying that Rich Eisen is one of the NFL's most respected commentators. His resume speaks for itself, but the 50-year-old endured a rough afternoon in the booth while calling Saturday's showdown between the Texans and Buccaneers. Perhaps it was just an off day for Eisen, but he simply could not stop mixing up Jameis Winston and Deshaun Watson all game long. His first blunder came on a Winston rollout near the end of the first quarter.
Fast forward about four minutes later and Eisen was at it again, this time claiming that Winston was dropping back to pass for the Texans.
Later in the second quarter, Eisen caught himself in the middle of another miscalculation when Winston completed a pass to wideout Justin Watson.
Perhaps Eisen was beginning to think that Winston was a member of the Texans because he couldn't stop tossing the pigskin to the players in white. In peak Jameis fashion, the Bucs gunslinger tossed a whopping four interceptions.
We couldn't resist!
Whatever the case, Saturday was definitely one to forget for Eisen.
