Rich Paul Speaking With Adam Silver About LeBron's Situation With Lakers is Absurd
By Charles Nason

The Los Angeles Lakers organization is in complete turmoil right now. With new stories surfacing by the day, new situations within the organizations are coming to light. After a report from ESPN's Baxter Holmes surfaced earlier today, completely dissecting the Lakers' situation, it became apparent that LeBron James' agent and business partner Rich Paul had an unorthodox role in the debacle of the franchise.
According to the report, Paul spoke with NBA commissioner Adam Silver about former Lakers coach Luke Walton. The conversation took place when Paul approached Silver while the commissioner was meeting with businessman Maverick Carter.

Holmes goes on in his report to explain that Paul's distaste for Luke Walton was established before James joined the Lakers while Paul was representing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Although its not out of the ordinary for an agent to speak out on team issues, it is unusual that Paul spoke with the commissioner directly about an internal dilemma.
In the midst of the Lakers drama, Rich Paul's presence has been criticized by many. Many believe that Paul has way too much influence in the organization as an agent.
"Coaches know Rich [Paul] is trying to get them fired, and players know Rich is trying to get them traded," said one agent with ties to the Lakers, who called Paul's presence on the plane "destructive."https://t.co/JrSree7wKi

No one can really expect for Rich Paul to completely stay out of public team issues. However, it's bizarre that an agent approached the league's commissioner about his own personal issues with the team's coach. By speaking with Silver, Rich Paul undermined and went around Lakers executives to try and make his own issues with the team paramount.
