Richard Sherman Sounds off on ProFootballTalk on Twitter After Earning Incentives in 49ers Contract

Richard Sherman earned several million dollars in incentives by being named an All-Pro player in 2019. The incentives came via his self-negotiated contract with the San Francisco 49ers which, at the time, had many criticizing the decision.
ProFootballTalk has battled with Sherman in the past about his decision to forgo the use of an agent, and the two sides got into it once again Friday.
Of your biggest informants you have to be bias and protect your business right? Love the email exchanges I’ve seen between all of these agents making sure you protect their business by speaking negatively on player negotiated deals. Appreciate that! Keep up the good work https://t.co/YiJrqyfoNC

So Sherman is happy and the folks at PFT are insistent that he made a bad decision. The bickering continued via quoted tweets. What a world we live in.
Don’t worry they will get that. The Seahawks “Loved” negotiating with @Bwagz and paying him fully guaranteed deal. So much better than negotiating with an agent they would give the same deal https://t.co/DbWIHg8Afn

There is clearly no way of these two sides reaching an agreement. Sherman is happy he bet on himself and PFT thinks the decision was incredibly rash. Some small shots were even thrown in to make this even more snippy than necessary.
Just seeing this. It’s a flat-out lie. As big of a lie as claiming you were snubbed by Baker Mayfield. https://t.co/zrHM94Ch2y

Yet, Sherman is the one who made $13 million and no matter what anyone says, that is obviously a ton of money. He celebrated his victory accordingly.

This argument will continue on through the 2020 season and even longer if Sherman seeks another NFL contract.
