Rick Carlisle Reveals Mavericks Star Luka Doncic Will Miss At Least Next 6 Games
By Karl Rasmussen

The Dallas Mavericks are fighting to stay above the Thunder and Rockets in the Western Conference, but the latest update doesn't bode well for the team in that regard.
Superstar Luka Doncic sustained an ankle injury during Thursday's practice and Rick Carlisle revealed on Friday that the 20-year-old will miss the team's next six games.

Carlisle's timetable would see Luka return on Feb. 10 for the home clash against the Utah Jazz. He is set to be shelved for some pivotal matchups, including Friday night's tilt with the Rockets.
Doncic was named an All-Star starter for what will be his first appearance in the game, and fans will be hoping this ankle injury doesn't prevent him taking part in the festivities in Chicago.

On the year, Luka is averaging a remarkable 28.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 8.7 assists, helping lead the Mavs to a 29-18 record.
It would be a shame if the young star couldn't partake in his first All-Star game due to the injury he picked up at practice, though ultimately the Mavs will prioritize whatever is best for their playoff chances this season, as well as his health in the long run.
