Rick Pitino Trolls Matt Bevin After Gubernatorial Loss in Kentucky
By Jerry Trotta
Former Kentucky governor Matt Bevin and former Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino have a long-standing beef. Since being fired back in 2017 amid a controversial bribery probe, Pitino has remained adamant in believing Bevin was the driving factor that led to the end of his reign as the Cardinals' boss.
Well, it would appear that Pitino paid close attention to this week's 2019 edition of gubernatorial elections. For those who aren't aware, democratic candidate Andy Beshear defeated Bevin in the race by some 5,300 votes.
You know where this one was going, folks. Following Bevin's L, Pitino took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to troll his foe with the ageless Jerry Seinfeld gif.
Pitino obviously has a bit of a tainted past, but he clearly got the last laugh in his longtime bout with Bevin, who was Kentucky's only statewide Republican on the ticket who lost on Tuesday night.
If that humiliation, especially after receiving President Donald Trump's repeated advocacy, doesn't call for a troll job, we don't know what does.
Just when you thought you'd seen the last of Pitino, who has spent his time leading Panathinaikos to the Greek Cup Championship, he comes out of nowhere to eviscerate his arch nemesis.
