Rival Executives Reportedly Believe Cubs Will Listen to Trade Offers for Kris Bryant This Offseason

Theo Epstein might be on the verge of blowing up the Chicago Cubs by trading one of the superstar infielders, according to the latest chatter.
Rival executives around the MLB believe that Epstein will listen to trade offers on third baseman Kris Bryant.
Bryant is hitting .281 with 26 home runs and 64 RBIs in 2019, a year in which he made his third All-Star team.
The Cubs might have some holes in their starting rotation and bullpen, but this is certainly not the way to fix them. On top of winning the MVP in 2016, Bryant is just 27 years old and has averaged 27 home runs and 78 RBIs per season during his five years in Chicago.
Yes, the Cubs may have one of the more deep lineups in the league given the presence of Anthony Rizzo, Javier Baez and Nick Castellanos, just to name a few. However, getting rid of a piece would smack of desperation and cold cause the fanbase to turn on Epstein if the return isn't groundbreaking.
