Rob Gronkowski's Silly Comment on Tom Brady's Instagram Post Has Fans Wondering About a Comeback
By Jackson Thompson
Tom Brady's plans for 2020 continue to dominate NFL social media activity, but we're forgetting about another former Patriot whose status is still being pondered by Boston fans.
On Saturday, Rob Gronkowski commented on a picture Brady posted on Instagram and one can only assume he's loosely hinting at a comeback (or trolling Patriots fans).
Hmmm, what does that mean, Gronk?
Gronkowski, who retired following the Patriots' Super Bowl victory last February, might just be engaging in playful banter with his old quarterback. However, at only 30 years of age, Gronkowski's return to the field is not beyond the realm of possibility.
“As of right now, I’m all set where I’m at, but I already know that I’m a young guy, and I still love to stay in shape and compete, so if that passion, that fire ever comes back, then that’s when I would come back to football, " Gronkowski said during FOX's Super Bowl Media day.
Gronk is surely enjoying retirement though, so it'll be hard to bring him back.
Whatever his comment meant on Brady's Instagram, Patriots fans will be at the edge of their seating waiting to see if Gronk comes back this offseason considering how stagnant the offense looked without him.
