The market for wide receiver Robby Anderson was moving slow until he signed a two-year deal with the Carolina Panthers this week. This comes after four years with the New York Jets.

Rumors emerged that Anderson turned down a big offer with the New York Jets. He then sent out a now-deleted tweet declaring that rumor as "fake news."

Anderson's tweet said the following: "False news y'all need to better jobs reporting and putting out fake news too ppl." This came in response to a rumor saying Anderson turned down a $40 million offer from the Jets.

Deleting the tweet signals Anderson is ready to move on with the Panthers. He joins a team in transition with Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback and Matt Rhule as the new head coach. Anderson may also be Bridgewater's main target for years as only D.J. Moore is under contract beyond 2021.

He leaves behind a Jets team that could end up competing for the AFC East now that Tom Brady is in Tampa Bay (or at least that's what fans would like you to think). Sam Darnold has shown progression during his two years and Anderson is betting on himself that Carolina is a better option long-term.
