Robin Lopez Has Hilarious Response to NBA's New Rule Changes

Robin Lopez has always been a man of the people, participating in mascot theatrics and pre-game fun.

This particular tweet regarding the NBA's new rule change is no different, as Lopez took a shot at players across the league who frequently complain and harass officials.

Challenge flags seem so formal/impersonal. Why can't we continue the tradition of verbally harassing officials? I, for one, look forward to my annual outbursts where two or three teammates have to restrain me before I get ejected.

With the new rule change, coaches will now be able to challenge specific calls throughout the game outside of the last two minutes of the halves. This rule comes on the heels of NBA Summer League experimenting with the coach's challenge.

Lopez is supportive of the new rules and hilariously preluded to a few future ejections where he will need to be restrained by teammates.

The league is giving more control to the coaches and players in hopes of creating less tension between the referees and teams.

The Athletic held a poll late last season regarding the tense relationships between players and referees, signaling a change was necessary to ease the relationships.
