Robinson Chirinos Denies Involvement in Astros’ Sign-Stealing Scandal
By Jack Murphy

As the Houston Astros are still under a ton of scrutiny for their cheating scandal in 201. It seems that any player that has been associated with the club has had their past accomplishments tainted.
Texas Rangers catcher and former Astro Robinson Chirinos has denied that he had any involvement in the organization's sign stealing.
Robinson Chirinos wanted to make something clear on first day of spring training: He did not use a buzzer last year. He cooperated with MLB investigators. And, he says, his story was corroborated. He'd just like to hear MLB make that public. https://t.co/4Crs1HjhTL

Chirinos was not part of the World Series champions who were in deed guilty of cheating in 2017, having played his lone season in Houston during the 2019 campaign. Despite that, Chirinos was specifically accused on social media of having used a buzzer during the 2019 campaign.
Footage from Game 4 of the World Series went viral in which something was seen flying off Chirinos' bat. The catcher casually walked over, picked it up and placed it in his back pocket.
Looks like some tape (?) flew off Chirinos bat? You can see it glimmer in the beginning on the barrel. At the end he gets more stuck to his batting glove again. pic.twitter.com/ptOCKrqkZA

The veteran catcher claims the object in question was actually an authentication sticker from the MLB.
Chirinos feels that he is being wrongfully judged by his peers across the league because of the Astros' cheating antics, and is demanding the league clear his name.
