Rockets Fear Veteran Gerald Green Will Miss Entire Season With Broken Foot
By Parker White

The NBA season hasn't even begun and the Houston Rockets might be without a key guard off the bench.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Rockets veteran guard Gerald Green has a broken foot and could miss the entire 2019-2020 season.
The Rockets fear that Gerald Green's broken foot is worse than initially expected and fear he'll miss the season, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

Green is set to get a second opinion on Tuesday to confirm the injury, which occurred on Thursday in a preseason game against the Toronto Raptors. If Green suffered a Lisfranc fracture, then it would require season-ending surgery to repair it.

Over the last two seasons, Green has averaged 10.2 points over 20.9 minutes off the Rockets bench. The 33-year-old's absence would be a major blow to Houston's second unit.
If Green is done for the year, expect Austin Rivers, Ben McLemore and Thabo Sefolosha to have expanded roles off Mike D'Antoni's bench.
