Rockies Reportedly Open to Hearing Offers for Charlie Blackmon at Trade Deadline
By Karl Rasmussen

The Colorado Rockies are sitting rock bottom in the NL West at 47-52, and now it seems as if they're gearing up to sell some veteran pieces.
And that could include Charlie Blackmon, an integral part of the team's identity over the past nine seasons. According to Jon Morosi, the Rockies are open to listening to offers for the veteran outfielder.

While they'll entertain offers for the four-time All-Star, Morosi reports that it's unlikely a deal occurs.
Blackmon has been with the Rockies since 2011. In 2019, Blackmon is slashing .319/.365/.602 with 21 home runs and 60 RBI. He no longer steals bases like he used to, only logging 2 on the year.

Still, he'd be a tremendous addition to any contending roster willing to absorb his contract, worth $21 million per year. It runs until 2023, but Blackmon has a player option each year after 2021.
The 33-year-old could be a valuable option for teams looking for a strong addition to their outfield.
