Rockies Scoreboard Message Before Orioles Battle Features Unexpected Twist Ending
By Sean Facey

Aside from keeping the fan informed about who's winning, scoreboards are also a great way to pick up some fun tidbits of information while at the ballpark.
With the Baltimore Orioles visiting Coors Field for the first time in 15 years, reflecting on how things have changed since 2004 seemed perfectly in order.
Two of the fun facts on the Rockies' scoreboard were the typical run-of-the-mill info. The last one? Downright dark.

"The last time the Orioles visited Denver was 2004 - Nolan Arenado was just 13, the iPhone was just three years away from hitting shelves, and I was in the early stages of alimony litigation with my delight of a first wife. Time flies, eh?"
One of these things is decidedly not like the other. Talk about taking an unexpected and morbid turn.
If the goal is to entertain, though, then consider the entire message as a job well done. That's one fan experience that can last a lifetime.

Kudos to the operator for poking fun at the past.
After all, it's not everyday that we get to see into the lives of the hidden scoreboard operators.
