Roger Goodell's Latest Comments Make it Sound Like a Colin Kaepernick Return is Never Happening

Just a few weeks ago, the NFL world was captivated by Colin Kaepernick's high-profile workout. On the day of, however, the tryout was completely botched, turning a potential positive event into a total farce.
When speaking with the media at the Winter League Meetings on Wednesday, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell spoke on the failed workout, and it sounds as though the league has completely moved on from the former QB.
On Colin Kaepernick and what went into the FA workout, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said, “It was about opportunity, a credible opportunity. ... He chose not to take it, and I understand that.” And the league has moved on.

It all started when the NFL announced a closed workout for Kaepernick down at the Atlanta Falcons facility in mid-November. This caught the world, and even the ex-San Francisco 49ers quarterback, by surprise.
Even though Kaepernick accepted the workout on short notice, his party fought back with the NFL on specific details. On the day of the event, Kaepernick pulled out due to a waiver form he deemed was unfavorable to him, and for not allowing media into the Falcons' practice facility. In a corresponding move, Kaepernick moved the tryout to a high school located an hour away from Atlanta.

Kaepernick did take a shot at Goodell and the NFL's owners after the workout, urging them to stop being scared and sign him. Those comments were met with crickets around the league, as he received zero offers.
Roger Goodell accepted why Colin Kaepernick ultimately turned down his offer of a workout, but the NFL once again seems to completely be shunning him after this.
