Romeo Langford Still Somehow Isn't Cleared for Contact Ahead of Celtics' Summer League Practice
By Michael Luciano

Boston Celtics rookie Romeo Langford -- the team's selection with the 14th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Indiana -- disappointed during his one season in Bloomington, in no small part due to some nagging injuries.
It appears those thumb injuries that plagued Langford in college have followed him to the pros, as he isn't going to be cleared for full contact as the Celtics begin their summer league practices.

It goes without saying that losing a lottery pick to a hand injury is bad. However, Celtics fans shouldn't panic just yet, as this injury appears to be a minor speed bump ahead of what should be a very promising career.
Even with a thumb injury, Langford averaged 16.5 points per game in college. While his shooting needs some work, a fully healthy Langford with a year of Brad Stevens' tutelage under his belt should be a much better shooter than the raw dunker that showed up in Bloomington.

Celtics fans will need to wait a while before their prized rookie can see the floor, but that shouldn't diminish the hype around Langford.
