Ron Rivera is Crazy if He Thinks Working for Dan Snyder in Washington Will Turn Out Well

It's being reported that former Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera is pretty much a guarantee to become the next HC of the Washington Redskins.
While the opportunity to immediately get back on the horse is enticing, why isn't Rivera taking his time interview with other attractive teams? He will likely regret his impending decision to join the Redskins as he is now at the mercy of team owner Daniel Snyder.
The #Redskins interview with coach Ron Rivera is more of a coronation. All signs point to Rivera becoming Washington’s new coach today, sources say. That is the expectation. Veteran agent Frank Bauer would not allow him on an interview like this unless significant work was done.

Thankfully for Rivera, the organization has disposed of former team president Bruce Allen, whose decade-long run in the front office drew the ire of fans and players alike. However, even with Allen out of the picture, the looming presence of Snyder could very well spoil Riverboat Ron's future run with the Redskins.
Coming off of nearly a decade in Carolina, one has to imagine that job security is a big priority for Rivera at this stage in his career. Unfortunately, Rivera will now be joining a franchise that has gone through eight different head coaches in the last 17 seasons due to Snyder's volatility and poor operational skills.
We did it.

We actually did it.
We made Dan Snyder #FireBruceAllen.
With the unreasonably long leash given to Allen, Snyder has proved himself to be an owner who clearly has the wrong priorities when it comes to running a football team. The franchise has been quick to place the blame on their coaches before, so if things go south for Rivera -- and they very well could given the construction of the current roster -- he may could be sacrificed like his predecessors.
We hope the best for Ron Rivera in Washington. The man is a class act and he should bring stability to the team in the short term ... that is, until Snyder cuts him loose because he needs to find a scapegoat for the team's shortcomings.
