Ronald Acuña Jr. suffers torn ACL and his 2024 is now over

You've just got to feel bad for Atlanta Braves superstar Ronald Acuña Jr. With the Braves six games back of the Phillies, they're going to need to get hot to push for an NL East title. In order for that to happen, they'll now have to do so without Acuña.
Late last week, Acuña went down with a concerning knee injury and it was confirmed on Sunday night that he tore his ACL. Just like that, Acuña is out for the rest of the season in what's a massive blow for Atlanta.
OF Ronald Acuña Jr. tonight underwent an MRI that revealed a complete tear of the ACL in his left knee. He is set to undergo surgery at a date yet to be determined and will miss the remainder of the 2024 season.

This is the second time Acuña has suffered a torn ACL, as he previously did so in July of 2021. The reigning NL MVP hurt himself running the bases and from the second he went down, there was huge concern. We now know he'll be out for the rest of the year. Just brutal news for the Braves.
