Roquan Smith is Coming Alive at Perfect Time for Bears' Defense
By Karl Rasmussen

Bears LB Roquan Smith was relatively quiet throughout the first half of the season, but the 22-year-old seems to have rediscovered his form of late.
Smith turned in a huge night on Thanksgiving, accumulating 15 tackles and his first two sacks of the season. That marked his fourth game in the past five in which he's recorded double-digit tackles.
First game of the week but going to be pretty hard not to give Roquan Smith Defensive Player of the Week.

15 total tackles, 2 TFLs, 2 sacks & 2 QB hits. #Bears
Smith intercepted Jared Goff against the Rams in Week 11, and while he was relatively quiet against the Giants, his overall play since the midway point of the season has been encouraging.
He looks to have turned the proverbial corner on what was a disappointing start to the 2019 season, and has reemerged as a key contributor for the Bears defense.
A massive sack from Roquan Smith. He has the only 2 sacks of the game for the #Bears

With the Bears set to face some of the best offenses in football over the next month, Smith's improving play is extremely encouraging. It's now or never for the Bears if they hope to creep into the playoffs, and the defensive unit is the heart and soul of this team.
