Royals Manager Ned Yost Announces He's Retiring After Regular Season
While Kansas City Royals fans had a feeling this could be coming sooner than later, it still doesn't take away from the shock of the news actually being delivered.
Moments ago, veteran Royals manager Ned Yost, through a team statement, announced that he'll be retiring as manager of the club following Sunday's regular season finale.

Yost has been with the club since 2010. Despite back-to-back 100-loss seasons, that doesn't take away from the man leading the team to consecutive World Series appearances, including in 2015 when they won it all.
That year, the team went 95-67. However, ever since the World Series title, things have been rough for KC, as they haven't topped more than 81 wins in a campaign.

Despite the team's recent struggles, Yost will hang up his cleats on Sunday as the team's most winningest manager. In his 10 years with the club, he has 744 wins to his name. He also owns a 22-9 postseason record.
