Royals Outfielder Brett Phillips Trolls Yankee Fans After Tommy Kahnle Loses 'MLB The Show' Award

Whether you like it or not, professional sports have been replaced by video game simulations for the time being. MLB has done its best to keep fans entertained by having certain players compete in an MLB The Show tournament and, quite frankly, it's delivered.

The first "season" of those battles has ended, and MLB decided to hand out some fun awards to commemorate the championship, showing Royals outfielder Brett Phillips with an award commemorating the joy in his streams. That clearly drew the ire of one diehard New York Yankees fan.

Having a handle like "Tauchman 4 MVP" shows where their loyalty lies. This was a direct shot at Kansas City Royals outfielder Brett Phillips, who could have just ignored the tweet.

He instead decided to offer up a nice troll against all Yankees fans.

This is an example of the proper way to do Twitter. Phillips had that picture of him robbing a home run at Yankee Stadium in his back pocket, and waited for the perfect time to bring it out. "Maverick" had the perfect tweet, and it shows why he was voted the most entertaining streamer.
