VIDEO: Russell Westbrook Takes Shot at Patrick Beverley's Defense After James Harden Drops 47 Points
By Mark Powell

Russell Westbrook is taking his new role as James Harden's sidekick quite literally, and the Rockets point guard took aim at the Clippers' Patrick Beverley after the stingy defender was lit up on Wednesday night. Harden, for one, had 47 points in a Rockets win, with Beverley draped all over him on several occasions. Russ thinks Bev has us all fooled.
Russ on Pat Bev’s defense: "[He] trick y'all man...He just running around, doing nothing."

Westbrook and Beverley have a history, as the Clippers guard has been a thorn in Russ's side on more than one occasion. Beverley's offensive game will never stack up to the likes of Westbrook, even at this stage of the his career, but the fact that Brodie feels the need to even address Bev proves he's in his head.
I asked Pat Beverley about these comments and he had no interest in responding. “Don’t start that, don’t start that. I don’t care about that.” https://t.co/SyxVJtLc5T

Beverley took the high road, and that's smart at this point in the season. He's already won.
If these two match up in a playoff series, then we can start to analyze Beverley's defensive flexibility. But for now, as impressive as Harden's offensive output was, it's only November.
