VIDEO: Ciara and Russell Wilson Announce Amazing Donation of a Million Meals to Seattle Food Bank

The Pacific Northwest was one of the first places to be hit hard by the coronavirus in the United States. Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is easily the most famous athlete in the region, and he and his wife, Ciara, have decided to give back to the community in a big way at a time of serious need. On Tuesday, they announced a donation of one million meals to a Food Lifeline, a community food bank that serves western Washington.
The world needs us ALL. Unprecedented times. @DangeRussWilson & I are supporting our community in Seattle by donating 1 million meals with Seattle @FoodLifeLine https://t.co/3FlJi9GU2G Rally & support your local food bank @FeedingAmerica

This is an an incredibly kind and encouraging gesture. The Wilsons' donation will hopefully inspire others all over the world to do the same. More than ever, it's incumbent upon those of us who can spare even a little to embrace the spirit of giving as the global community grapples with the realities of COVID-19.

No one really knows what to expect over the next few months. Stories like this donation from Wilson and Ciara, at the very least, help bring some positivity and hope into the world, and that is something we can all hold onto even in the face of such fear.
