VIDEO: Russell Wilson Trolls Eagles With 'Always Sunny in Philadelphia' Parody After Seahawks Win
Well, Seattle sure did have fun in the City of Brotherly Love. The Seahawks proved they were the superior bird Sunday with their Wild Card defeat of a Carson Wentz-less Eagles squad, and Russell Wilson followed up the win with an Instagram video showcasing the team's own rendition of the 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' theme song, starring some of Seattle's best.
The people the game wasn't sunny for? Philly fans themselves, whom we're sure didn't take too kindly to Wilson's celebratory montage. That, however, wasn't the only trolling Seattle did before they headed out of Lincoln Financial field.
On a critical third-and-10 play in the game's closing drive, Wilson took the snap, and instead of turning around to hand the ball off, set his sights deep for wide receiver DK Metcalf, who pulled in an extraordinary leaping catch at the ball's peak to seal the game. Metcalf immediately turned around and said "peace!" to the Philly faithful in celebration.
It won't be sunny in Philadelphia for a long time this year, at least not for football fans. Things got a bit darker with the comments that were directed towards Jadeveon Clowney after his hit on Carson Wentz. Despite the playful toying from their camp, though, Seattle has to look ahead and keep their focus on the future.
If not, there's a man wearing No. 12 at Lambeau Field who will be more than happy to deliver some karma.
