Saints QB Drew Brees and His Sons Thank Healthcare Workers in Kind Instagram Post

Yes, having no professional sports to watch is a bummer, but it's simply not important during this time. The coronavirus pandemic has effectively shut down the entire globe, and while we sit on our couches awaiting the green light to return to our normal lives, doctors and nurses are on the front lines helping those in need.
It's imperative that we show our appreciation to healthcare workers around the world. New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees used his social media platform to post a heartfelt photo of his children holding a "thank you" sign to all of those fighting to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Brees is 100% correct in his statement. All of those who are stepping up to help those battling COVID-19 are the true heroes.
The charitable Saints quarterback, who recently signed a $50 million contract to return to the team for the next two years, wanted to do something to help those in the area he's called home for nearly two decades. Brees and his wife, Brittany, donated $5 million to the state of Louisiana to help provide tens of thousands of meals for the less fortunate.

Diagnosed coronavirus cases have jumped to 2,305 in the state; at least 83 people have died. https://t.co/SgVqBf3aCd pic.twitter.com/s0TQEnuXFf
Healthcare workers are sacrificing their time and health to treat those who contracted the coronavirus and to help plateau the curve of cases, which Brees is well aware of considering his charitable efforts.
If you know or see a hospital worker, give them a round of applause and say thanks for all they're doing during this trying time. It's the least we can all do.
