Saints Getting Terron Armstead Back vs 49ers in Huge Boost for Offensive Line

The New Orleans Saints, more specifically their offensive line, needs all hands on deck to blunt the attack of the relentless San Francisco 49ers defensive line, and they're getting a key member of that group back from injury.

Left tackle Terron Armstead is back in the lineup after suffering a high ankle sprain against the Carolina Panthers. However, New Orleans will be without guard Andrus Peat after he suffered an injury on Thanksgiving against the Atlanta Falcons.

Armstead, fresh off his first Pro Bowl in 2018, has once again remained an elite left tackle, posting a Pro Football Focus grade of 79.6 without having allowed a sack on the year.

Peat, meanwhile, has been a major disappointment after he made a Pro Bowl last year at guard. His Pro Football Focus grade is just 49.6, and he has allowed three sacks this season.

Peat will join linebacker Kiko Alonso on the inactive list today.

The Saints offensive line might not be at full strength against this ferocious 49ers pass rush, but getting Armstead back against Nick Bosa and this defensive line is a major plus for Drew Brees and New Orleans.
