Saints' Marshon Lattimore Calls Out Jamal Adams on Twitter for Whining About Who Was Drafted Ahead of Him
By Brendan Balsamo
Jamal Adams was selected sixth overall by the New York Jets in the 2017 NFL Draft, so it's safe to say the star safety wasn't exactly overlooked when his time came. However, he still seems to think that he was based on his Twitter activity on Wednesday.
Fellow safety Marshon Lattimore of the New Orleans Saints saw Adams' message and called him out on how ridiculous it is to say that he "remembers everyone drafted in front of him" considering it was only five players.
Shots fired baby!!
Adams is coming off a 2019 where he played in 14 games and forced two fumbles, recorded 6.5 sacks, and added 74 total tackles. Of the top six picks of the 2017 Draft, Adams has the highest weighted career approximate value, according to Pro Football Reference, so he has a point here.
He may have been the best selection that year over those other guys, but to hold that type of grudge when you were still a highly-regarded selection is a bit odd.
We've heard this a ton from Adams. The former LSU star is always talking about being underrated and overlooked. But it's safe to say some are fed up with it, and a humble guy like Lattimore calling him out should help bring Adams back down to earth.
