The Saints will be without yet another one of their top offensive weapons for the Week 7 matchup against the Chicago Bears.

Standout running back Alvin Kamara has officially been ruled out with knee and ankle issues. Franchise star Drew Brees, who's still recovering from his thumb injury, and Jared Cook will also be held off of the gridiron for the Sunday showdown.

Kamara has been a vital part of New Orleans' offensive attack this year. The two-time Pro Bowler has accumulated 649 yards from scrimmage while averaging an impressive 5.5 yards per touch.

Losing him for this game against the Bears makes scoring on offense significantly more difficult than it was already going to be. Now it's up to backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to lead the charge against a defense that's allowed just 13.8 points per game this year, the third-best mark in football.

Fortunately for them, a loss won't push them out of first place in the NFC South. The Carolina Panthers are on their bye and won't be able to pick up ground until at least Week 8.

It's certainly not an ideal situation, but it's one the Saints are just going to have to work around if they want to pull out a victory against Chicago.
