It's a move from one NFC South team to another for Winston. After the Bucs brought in Tom Brady on a two-year deal, Winston's fate with TB was sealed. Everyone knew he was gone. But who thought New Orleans, a recent land of rehabilitation for Teddy Bridgewater, would be his next stop?
The team will once again feature future Hall of Fame QB Drew Brees next season, while Taysom Hill was expected to be the primary snap-sharer. The team also drafted Mississippi State's Tommy Stevens in the seventh round on Saturday. Now, Winston will enter the QB room looking to win the No. 2 job that recently vaulted Bridgewater to a high-dollar deal in Carolina.
Sources tell Yahoo Sports the #Saints are finalizing a 1-year deal with free agent QB Jameis Winston. New Orleans hopes to continue maximizing Taysom Hill's versatility on gameday while mitigating some risk in exposing Drew Brees' backup to injury.

The Florida State product will have the opportunity to learn from one of the best quarterbacks of all time in Brees, and he'll do so with 19,737 career passing yards and 121 touchdowns to his name from his Tampa days. In recent years, Brees' backups have found a surprising amount of valuable snaps, in an effort to keep the Hall of Famer fresh. This is a wise move with a slice of revenge for Winston, who stays in his old division and remains prepared.
