Saints Bringing Back PJ Williams Doesn't Eliminate Need to Address CB Depth in NFL Draft
By Michael Luciano

The New Orleans Saints might have suffered some surprising losses in the secondary, but they've brought back a rock solid defensive back from last year's NFC South champs.
Cornerback PJ Williams will return to the Big Easy, where he broke out for Dennis Allen in 2019.
The Saints have agreed to terms to bring back CB P.J. Williams, who finally found his niche as a nickel back over the last two years — and showed even more versatility when they needed him to move to safety because of injuries late last season.

Williams had a tough time winning over Saints fans, as he struggled to get on the field early in his career due to injury. In the last few years, however, Williams has picked up his play, which coincided with a move inside in nickel packages. The former Florida State star picked up 44 tackles, one sack, and one interception last season.
Williams is a fine addition, but the Saints still need to address their lack of secondary depth in the 2020 NFL Draft. With only five picks total, look for Mickey Loomis to make moves in order to improve a secondary that has many obvious flaws. Marshon Lattimore is great, but Williams and Janoris Jenkins can't exactly be blindly relied upon, especially against potent passing attacks.
Im fine with this signing aslong as we get a solid cb in the draft

Williams will be clamping guys in the slot once again, but he should be the first of many cornerbacks New Orleans brings in to play alongside Lattimore.
