Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy have the burden of feeding a plethora of dynamic mouths. Most would wager that their embarrassment of riches is the most significant in the NFL.
With Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Damien Williams, Mecole Hardman, Sammy Watkins and Demarcus Robinson all sticking around, it's virtually impossible for quarterback Patrick Mahomes to keep everyone happy. However, you would think that these offensive stars would trade their singular production for team success, right?
Not Watkins. The 26-year-old wideout unleashed some brash quotes about receiving his fair share of targets in 2020.
So, Sammy Watkins is promising "World War III" if he doesn't get his share of the football this year with the Chiefs.

World War III? Seriously?
We respect Watkins' passion, but these comments to B/R Mag should worry Chiefs fans. The fact that he's willing to flip the locker room upside down if Mahomes doesn't sate his hunger for touches paints a picture of the complete opposite of a team player.

Keep in mind that Watkins hinted that he would consider sitting out the entire 2020 season while Kansas City was preparing for its Super Bowl (!) clash against the San Francisco 49ers, so this latest untimely quote from the former No. 4 overall pick shouldn't surprise anyone.
He waged a "war" outside of football, reawakened and -- finally -- found his purpose in life. From entities to aliens to manifesting dreams into reality, there isn't anyone in the NFL quite like the Chiefs' Super Bowl hero.

What Sammy Watkins Believes:https://t.co/9Vx94ehiLr
Any professional competitor should be clamoring for more touches, and Watkins would probably be the No. 2 wide receiver on most teams across the league. However, the Chiefs' offense isn't built for Mahomes to have tunnel vision for one or two specific pass-catchers. The complete opposite blueprint was imperative to KC's Super Bowl win in February.
Watkins ignoring the fundamental magnitude of that fact to satisfy his ego is alarming.
